It is the season when leaves turn beautiful shades of orange, red, and yellow, and we welcome the cooler temperatures. For a lot of us, we celebrate the changing seasons by decorating our homes. It is also a great time to ‘decorate’ or add to our landscapes, plan for the next growing season, and do some maintenance work on our trees. In this Fall Newsletter, we will be talking about fall planting, planning for next year’s Plant Health Care plan, and sharing a video about who we are.
Fall Planting
Fall is a great time to plant trees in your landscape. It is less stressful on the tree to plant in the dormant season. Here’s how it works when you choose Cherokee Tree Care for your planting needs:
We first send you a ‘Recommended Tree List’ of trees that we’ve found through research and experience, do well in our area.
We will walk your property and discuss your hopes and needs for your property. Some people need a privacy screen, while others are looking for a shade tree or to add color with an ornamental tree. Whatever your needs, we can guide you toward finding the perfect tree for your space.
We will write up a proposal for you with an optional one-year warranty available to you. We then take care of all the logistics of selecting your trees at a local nursery, locating underground utilities, and having your trees planted by a certified arborist at the proper depth and following proper planting standards.
After your tree is planted, we will leave you with a care card of instructions on how to best water and care for your new addition. We recommend setting up a fertilization program for your trees for the first 4-5 years after planting to help the tree become established and reduce planting stress.
